OUR DJS
Em J is an open format DJ who has played in some of the biggest venues across East London and has a radio show on EXT radio Tuesday evenings 6-8pm. She considers music as her therapy and her selection is always considered and creative.
>> Influenced by different cultures, Em J has a mixed spectrum when it comes to her selection and loves to incorporate a range of beats from around the world.
>> Her favourite music to play is anything from Tribal Tech, Electronica, dirty Hip Hop and any kind of soulful funk.
>> Her love and passion for music clearly shows during her sets and her energy is contagious.
>> “I’m just here to serve and bring a vibe” she says.

Daughter of a Reggae Dub Sound 'Quaker City', well known across the UK and Europe, my love of music is eclectic. At university I did my Graphic Communication dissertation on music and the graphic art that came with it in promoting dance music and the raves that took place during the 90s to this day. I found music in itself to be both a political and a movement of freedom. I danced for Sidewinder Garage back in 2000/01 and helped promote events whilst studying at Northampton University. I appeared in the music video ‘Neighbourhood' produced by Zed Bias too. My influences have been my brother’s whom are all DJs across different genres of music and my own personal relationship with music that has helped me through Breast Cancer, which is when I learn't to DJ. My DJ name KnowFreedom came from the knowledge I sought through my fight against cancer and DJing was the Freedom I gained and now freely express myself through. I believe everyone knows they're Freedom when facing tough battles and getting through it, as I know mine.

Via Seri is a London based DJ who has always been in tune with her musical soul. Communicating through music and giving that soulful experience is what defines her. Connecting with all things Afro, Via specialises in Amapiano, Afro House and SA House

Angela Rose’s style is a fusion of afro and deep house but also articulates a very important understanding of the genres and subdivisions – a necessary prerequisite for a specialist DJ

Simone Martinez is an effervescent afrohouse DJ originally from Manchester who has built a strong underground following with her energetic mixing styles and fearless experimentation. Simone has been diligent in her fast rise and releases mixes regularly showcasing the latest discoveries and appearing at times with fellow afro DJ Angela Rose. The house community has a poor record of showcasing Black female talent in general. Simone is one of many new and exciting faces hoping to change that representation.

Francesca is a London-based dance artist and music addict, finally stepping into the world of deejaying. Lover of deep, soulful, and afro-tech house, hip-hop, soul and R&B, and UK influences including broken beat, garage, grime, jungle and drill.

Nique J is a South London based DJ new to the scene. Her love for music stems from her passion for Dance where she is trained in styles such as Salsa, Tap, House, HipHop to name a few. She likes to take you on a journey from beginning to end, experimenting with edits, unshazamables & giving your ears a taste of all sounds.

Chidera O is London based DJ, who learned to mix whilst redeployed as a junior doctor in the COVID crisis. She specialises in alté, r’n’b, and chill afrobeats and edits, and is a member of the 9jaghels Collective.

Caressing the decks for a couple of years now, DUO provides trembling sounds from Afrohouse, Amapiano and DeepTech. Holding residencies at Plus 1 Radio and dreamnights, she’s also played for Reprezent, Noods Radio and Meraki. A curious soul, who’s all about exploring the lost gems and bringing them to the surface for all to enjoy, just as much as she does.
DUO
Redfreya is an emerging artist in the London Deep House / Deep Tech scene. As a selector, she is drawn to melodic, percussive and hypnotic tracks, and builds sets that weave deep groove lines with emotive vocals. She holds a monthly show on Bloop London Radio (last Tuesday of the month at 7pm), and has played in venues across London, including Brixton Courtyard, The Cause, and Dalston Roof Park amongst others.

DJ AOD has been Djing for just over a year, playing classic afro and funky tunes and also up and coming records. Her love to ensure everyone has a great time and that thh audience feels her passion for house music, DJ AOD hopes to be a high flyer within the party circuit!
